Detection Devices
The following detection devices work on our Addressable and Non-Addressable systems.
Smoke Detectors
Smoke detectors are the most common sort of detection devices fitted, they suit most situations and are ideal for offices, hospitals and shops etc. The detectors are activated when particles of smoke enter the analysing chambers.
Heat Detectors
Heat Detectors are normally fitted to areas where smoke detectors could not be sited e.g. kitchens, boiler rooms etc. The detectors can be set to activate at a fixed temperature threshold or by a sudden temperature change.
Flame Detectors
Flame Detectors are fitted to areas where early detection is essential. These detectors can be sited externally as well as internally. They activate when a visible flame is detected by the sensor.
Aspirating Systems
Aspirating Systems are fitted where very early smoke detection is required. The system has pipe work installed with holes drilled to the pipe. Air is drawn in to the pipe and then analysed by the detector. This system is ideal for warehouses, computer suites, freezers and hospitals.
Beam Detectors
Beam Detectors are fitted to warehouses or large open areas. Beam detectors can cover large areas of warehouses where access is restricted. The systems have a range of up to 100m. The detectors look for partial obscurity by smoke. This is a very cost effective solution.
